Recap: 4th Annual Cispus Collaborative Chainsaw Training

The Cispus Collaborative Chainsaw Training wrapped up on Sunday in Randle—cumulatively we've certified more than 100 sawyers over the past four years at this event. But even more impressive was the amount of cumulative knowledge in the room. Professional arborists, tree fellers, trail staff and volunteers from over a half dozen organizations all came together on the banks of the Cispus River to share their centuries of collective knowledge with each other.
“We don't have anything like this in Nevada or California. Cispus is the closest training to offer this level of training in partnership with the US Forest Service.”
These trail lovers came from all over Oregon, Washington, and even Reno, Nevada. When asked why he drove 12 hours for this event, one trail professional simply said "We don't have anything like this in Nevada or California. Cispus is the closest training to offer this level of training in partnership with the US Forest Service."
We're looking forward to giving these new sawyers some trigger time this June 21-22 in Washington's Gifford Pinchot National Forest. We're focused on clearing the last 8 miles of the Loowit Tier before its first riders this season!
