A look back at 2024

Hey, we were busy looking at maps, so it took a while to crunch the numbers. In 2024 we tackled the first major route revision in several years, inventoried all 1,552 miles of singletrack, and selected the best of the best to launch in 2025.
What we did in 2024
Scouted 457 Miles of Trail (email us is you want to scout a section near you)
Added 377 miles of singletrack
Maintained 20 miles of trail and logged 608 volunteer hours (make sure you’re on our mailing list to be notified of upcoming events)
First Major Route Refinement since 2020
Filed for 501c3 nonprofit status
Identified major gaps and prioritized 60 miles of potential solutions
Trained 40 student sawyers at the Cispus Chainsaw Collaborative (email us to sign up for the April 4-6th 2025 class)
First rider to thru-ride the Colemonti Crossing
What we’re doing in 2025
Inventorying all 1,600mi of singletrack trails along the route and developing a maintenance strategy
Launching 5 of the best sections in California and Washington (stay tuned—these will be published starting in April)
Hosting community events and group rides along the route
Chronicling Kurt Refsnider as he attempts the first full ride of the route
Working with IMBA and Outdoor Alliance on the implementation of the BOLT Act
What we’re going to do
Develop strategic partnerships with organizations and land managers where priority gaps are located
Develop a “Lost Trails Loved” strategy to save abandoned trails necessary for long distance connectivity
Continue to publish new sections of the route as they get built and maintained to a rideable status
